Official Telegraph Merger Act Case Files (T Cases) and War Labor Dispute Act Files (WLD)

This series consists of Telegraph Merger Act case files (T Cases) and War Labor Dispute Act files. The T Cases relate to projection of the right of employees affected by the merger of domestic telegraph carriers under the Telegraph Merger Act of 1943, which amended the Communications Act of 1934. The War Labor Dispute Act (WLD) files related to the Board's general responsibilities under the War Labor Dispute Act, its communications with the National War Labor Board, and some specific cases. The bulk of both the T Cases and the WLD files relate to labor union aspects of the merger of the Western Union Telegraph Company and the Postal Telegraph & Cable Corporation.
